Today's book by its cover is the new release The Darkest Passion by Gena Showalter.
For weeks, the immortal warrior Aeron has sensed an invisible female presence. An angel—demon-assassin—has been sent to kill him. Or has she? Olivia claims she fell from the heavens, giving up immortality because she couldn't bear to harm him. But trusting—and falling for—Olivia will endanger them all. So how has this "mortal" with the huge blue eyes already unleashed Aeron's darkest passion?
Now, with an enemy hot on his trail and his faithful demon companion determined to remove Olivia from his life, Aeron is trapped between duty and consuming desire. Worse still, a new executioner has been sent to do the job Olivia wouldn't…
My review is going to be short and sweet.
Love it. Love the blue tones, love the sexy, masculine back, love the tribal-esque tattoo, love the cover.
Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series always has great covers. The Darkest Passion is no exception, in my mind.
I ADORE this cover! Every part of my being is drawn to it lol. The blue green tones almost makes it seem like the freaking gorgeous yummy man is under water. The sparkling night sky is alluring. And that sculpted back and tattoo....swoon. I just want to trace it for hours, maybe with my tongue...bwahaha.
Seriously though, this cover is a homerun! Not only will women naturally gravitate towards it (I mean come on!) but it will happily make it home with anyone interested in this genre on the cover principle alone. Husbands will shake their heads and question getting their own man stamp...or so I hope ;p.
Gena Showalter has just landed at the top of my TBR pile. :)
