Renesmee Cast for Breaking Dawn

It seems the powers that be at Summit Entertainment have cast the half-human, half-vampire crotch dropping offspring of Twilight's Bella and Edward for the final films. 9 year old actress Mackenzie Foy, who looks so angelic she appears otherworldly, will join the cast of Breaking Dawn as Renesmee Cullen. There's been no word yet on how Foy will portray the supernatural Renesmee, who ages at an accelerated rate.



Is it just me, or does she actually look like she could be the progeny of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson?

While studying for finals...

I came across a bacterium called Edwardsiella ictaluri; it causes disease in catfish.  I will leave it to you to google if you care enough (doubtful).  There was one striking image in my head that I could not seem to shake.  This one:

"Vampire's" Choice Awards

Nominees for the People's Choice Awards were announced on Tuesday.  Among the vamp shows/cinema featured were: True Blood, Vampire Diaries, and Twilight.




True Blood, shown on HBO, is up for two categories: TV Obsession and TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy.  Main actress Anna Paquin, Sookie, was nominated for TV Drama Actress.






Vampire Diaries, from the CW, is in the running for two: TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy and New TV Drama.







Twilight, the seemingly new teen culture phenomenon, holds a place in the following three categories: Favorite Movie, Movie Franchise, and Onscreen Team (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner).  Kristen Stewart, Bella, was nominated for Favorite Movie Actress and Robert Pattinson, Edward, has a spot in the Favorite Movie Actor slot.  Taylor Lautner, Jacob, is in the Breakout Movie Actor category.





Tune in to CBS for a live presentation on January 6th, looks like it may prove to be a good year for the vamps!

Jared Leto the new Lestat??

I was prowling on myspace; I mean that is what myspace is all about right? While sifting through the usual celebrity blog garbage, I came across a jem! Yes my friends, this is a picture from the "official blog of Jared Leto." Please feast your eyes on the following:

Looks like Lestat is hanging with Robert Pattinson

So for comparisions sake, here is a look at Stuart Townsend who played Lestat de Lioncourt in Queen of the Damned (2002).

And here is Tom Cruise as Lestat in Interview with the Vampire (1994).

I personally have yet to read the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. This is something I do plan on getting to, all you scoffers out there claiming me not to be a "true fang fan". On the pictures alone, I do see the resemblance. I find Leto looks strickingly similar to Townsend's character. A rock and roll vampire is definitely something I wouldn't mind sinking my teeth into!

I must leave you with the following! Just notice the hideous cheetah print couch...yet I would allow it in my house if it came with a lounging Lestat complete with a shirt that he quite possibly ripped from the wardrobe of Elvis.
